Calling all turquoise collectors!! We have a unique vintage 1960s piece, a Navajo-crafted sterling silver bracelet, with a HUGE piece of stunning turquoise front and center. This breathtaking cuff features four heavy triangular bands adorned with artisan crafted leaves and rope. Inside of cuff measures approximately 6 3/4” with a 1 1/4” opening.
My mom bought this in Tucson in the 1960s from a gentleman who traded regularly with local Native Americans. She bought it because it was “in style” at the time, then rarely if ever wore it. It has been packed away all this time and is in excellent condition. Webbing is most fine-lined black chert with touches of gold-colored rock and pyrite, and coloring varies between light robin’s egg to highlights of deep turquoise color. Possibly Morenci or Ithaca Peak? Top edge has a couple of small pits. The stone itself measures almost 1 3/4″ long by 1 3/16″ wide.
